The patent pending JACK™ system was designed to answer the demand for an affordable, high performance HPA (High Pressure Air) conversion for AEG's. The system is a drop-in cylinder replacement that is universally compatible with a wide range of gearbox versions that have center-line nozzles.
Similar to its sister product, the F1, it replaces the original gearbox components with a programmable pneumatic system allowing for higher performance and greater reliability over a gear driven system. Although economically priced, JACK™ still retains the same performance and quality you have come to expect from PolarStar products.

Both F1 and JACK are "open bolt" systems, meaning the nozzle is in the rearward position when the system is idle. Aside from F1 supporting offset nozzles (while JACK does not), the difference is how they fire.
JACK uses a small solenoid for nozzle movement only. The position of the nozzle within JACK is what allows or prevents air from flowing down the nozzle. Like JACK, the solenoid in F1 also controls nozzle movement and the nozzle position also controls firing air, but only for one of the two firing stages. In the two-stage system the nozzle travels a certain distance, then begins to allow airflow through the bore. After traveling completely a secondary firing port opens to allow increased flow through the solenoid itself. These internal differences result in F1 being slightly more efficient than JACK.
In addition to performance specs there are also some differences in compatibility. While F1 supports almost any AEG gearbox (offset nozzle or centerline nozzle), JACK is limited to gearboxes with a centered nozzle.
Over 20 standard JACK nozzles are available for installation into a wide range of replicas. These are numbered, rather than named, since a single nozzle is often compatible with multiple replicas. The "Original Model" listed in the table is the replica from which the nozzle measurements were taken and is for reference.
If your gun is not listed in our Compatiblity Database a recommended nozzle length may calculated by measuring your original gearbox and applying the following formula: TIP = F + B - (A/2) - .0875. A more precise measurement (which accounts for the hopup and bucking in use) may be obtained by installing a nozzle into the system which is slightly too long for the replica and measuring the nozzle setback when placed into the hopup.
